Emirates Aluminium is located at KIZAD (Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi) at Al
Taweelah, Abu Dhabi. The smelter complex covers a site of 6km2 and is being built in
two phases.
In 2011 EMAL announced an additional $4.5 billion investment for its phase II expansion.
A ground breaking ceremony was held in September 2011 and the construction
was completed by the end of 2014. As a result of phase II, EMAL will have the longest
single potline in the world at 1.7km and annual production capacity will almost
double to 1.3 million metric tonnes.

- Unloading / loading area
- Pipe bridge foundations
