The Cultural District Master Plan maintains a balanced mix of land uses with a total project GFA area of 3,074,590 m2. The district is divided into four neighborhoods in seven land use categories: cultural facilities, residential, offices, retail, hospitality, civic facilities and municipal parking. The Master Plan main character areas are the museum quarter, district mall, beach promenade, civic precinct, cultural quay and the parkway.

One of the key development in the area is the Louvre Museum. Louvre Abu Dhabi, opening in 2017, is a universal museum in the Arab world. Louvre Abu Dhabi is intended to be a place of discovery, exchange and education. It will also play an important social role in United Arab Emirates.

KN Intl. has been appointed by Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC) to provide overview consultancy services for both design review and construction overview stages of the sewerage infrastructure works related to the project including gravity pipe works, manholes and plot connections.
